Assist visitors at Bayview Trailhead
Join Dan Zwicker in assisting visitors at Bayview Trailhead. They'll have questions about trail conditions, where to hike, snow (Probably not) and bears (Could be.) Come help them out. For many, it is a first visit to any wilderness. .We get to introduce them to the concept, talk about the word "untrammeled" and tell some of them who Maggie was. Bring your volunteer parking pass, sunscreen, lunch, water and maybe a chair. The trailhead has been reinvented as a pretty good-sized parking and day use area. If it is very busy we may stay till 2 p.m. or later, but you may be able to leave or go for a hike much earlier.
